September Newsletter, Brick & Mortar Special Model, CCA Event Round 2, & Iquitos!!

September newsletter is here!! Let's take a look inside!!

Meet Juriaan!!

Juriaan is the fall Collector Club special run. He is on the Vermeer/Friesian/Friesian Sport Horse mold. He is is a rich glossy light chestnut coat.He is available while supplies last, he costs $75. I got to see him in the Collector Club tent this past Breyerfest and knew I had to have him once available, I ordered him right away when he became available online and can't wait for him to arrive!!

A new workshop is also available, learning how to do paint detailed hair on appaloosas, the deluxe club bonus stablemates are also available!! Plus they come with the pin for the club, slightly hoping for the Wedgewood or Copenhagen for the deco as you get two, the other is the bay/silver bay appaloosa. The gold models haven't thrilled me recently but the softer blues have been nice. The featured story is about showing model horses around the world, seems like a really interesting read. This months giveaway is Arachne, I'm skipping this one as I plan to get Arachne at a later time. Last but certainly not least, the sneak peak!!
This looks to be the winter raffle model as most of the time they are silver filigree. Some are speculating Bristol, one said Esprit but thankfully for me he was already used, that one was Alpine and I still need to get for my conga.

Meet Rosanna!!
This year's Brick & Mortar special model is on the Shagya Arabian mold in a rose grey coat. She was revealed not long ago and wasn't long before she was being offered up, this one arrived not long after I preordered so I guess they got the stock in right away and then sent her out right away. I love rose greys so I am glad I was able to get her.

The second round of the CCA event has also come but like always can't really afford at the moment, especially after ordering Juriaan who also doesn't count towards it as it's only regular run stock that qualifies. Maybe one year I will be able to and also hopefully with really good models then too.

Meet Iquitos!!

Iquitos was the sneak peak from the previous newsletter & he was in fact part of the wild animal serious. He is based off poison dart frogs and is named after a region in South America. He is done on the Bristol mold, which has had a lot of web special/web raffle releases lately. He is gorgeous and I like he has a color gradient vs just being blue like most poison dart frogs when you look them up and they can come in other colors, blue just seems to be a popular type chosen.

That's all I have for this post, see y'all in the next one!!

August Collector Club Newsletter & Halloween Models!!

August newsletter has arrived!! Let's take a look!!

There's a new exclusive workshop covering layering acrylic paints, announcement about the Halloween store for 2025, National Fun Day update for October 11th, throw back to Just About Horses January/February edition of 1999, giveaway is for a full set of Fylkir's past stablemate release for the stablemate club 2017. Entering to hopefully get the 2 I want, the silver black and the dunalino, only have the appaloosa and bay splash, appaloosa was the first one I got then the bay splash came in a grab bag. Those also happened to be my least 2 favorite versions, again I am a sucker for the dilutes of silver and double dilute of dun and palomino. So wish me luck in entering. There's also a survey about experience of being in the collector club, wonder what changes this could lead to.

last but not least, the sneak peak!!

Definitely not only a deco, but could be related to the Wild Animal series as that usually comes out around this time of year and Breyer seems to be continuing it for now. Could be lizard, frog, butterfly, possibly even a fish, doubt bird if they want to pick up the Birds of a Feather Series again in the future.

Halloween model are here!!

Meet Screech!!

Screech is the glow in the dark deco classic for this year's Halloween model!! He's dark metallic purpley blue with owl markings!! He more than likely was the sneak peak in the previous newsletter. I'm definitely getting him.

Meet Webster!!

Webster is the Halloween plushy for this year!! He is so cute!! He's got little spiders with webs and is very colorful with purple, pink and orange!! Definitely getting him!!

Spooky Surprise Blind Bags Series 7!!

This years Spooky Stablemates are minis of Thriller, Tabitha, and EEK!! I am ordering 2, last year I lucked out getting 2 different ones hoping the same for this year. I mostly like mini Tabitha and Thriller best. The mini Tabitha could've been the sneak peak, but I'm leaning more towards Screech based off how the stars look. Then of course there's a pin of the traditional model I also plan to get. I'll wait a little bit to get the traditional, Arachne.

That's it for this post, see y'all in the next one!!

BreyerWest Now BreyerMidWest Due to Moving Locations Announcement & Other News.

Breyer recently announced a big change for BreyerWest for next year!! The announcement is that instead of being held in Denver, Colorado during the Rocky Mountain Horse Expo, it will now be held in Salina, Kansas during EquiFest. It is because if this Breyer felt the need to rename the event to BreyerMidWest, and that is the only change, event experience and time of year it is held will be the same, so again only the location has changed.

My only problem with this is, aside form the fact this doesn't make it all that easier for people on the western side of the United States to go to a Breyer event, but also Kansas is not part of the midwest, like ever, same goes for Ohio but thats a different story. Let me show you the mostly agreed upon map of the midwest of the United States.
Ok so like I said Ohio isn't the midwest so ignore that in the pic, but clearly Kansas is not highlighted nor mostly agreed to be part of the midwest. Closest you get is Missouri and there's even debate there if that state should even be included, technically part of the Dakotas should be included but they aren't, though there is debate if Nebraska should be included or not. The true midwest is technically: Minnesota, Iowa, Wisconsin, Illinois, Michigan, Parts of: the Dakotas, Indiana, & Missouri. Minnesota, Wisconsin, Iowa, & Illinois being the main heart and drive of the midwest while Michigan, Indiana, & Missouri are support on the boarder of the sectors that United States can be divided by, the other sectors being the North, South, Tornado Alley, Deep South, Desert States, Eastern, Western, East Coast, & West Coast. As someone from the midwest, being born in raised in Minnesota before moving to Kentucky, I take it very seriously on what is midwestern as what's not. My freshman year of Uni there was a kid that said they were form the north and when I asked which part they said Ohio to which I told them that's not the north and I would know being from one of the northern most states. Just because you are form a state that is north of Ky does not mean you are from the north. Ok little rant over time to move on to the next set of news I have.

Mangoky was the newest web special and he is part of the continuous Wild Animal Series. This year's is based off the ring tailed lemur, and his release is perfect for national lemur day that happened, don't know if that was done on purpose or not. He is done on the Valegro mold and limited to 750 pieces. He is named after the Mangoky river that flows through the home of the lemurs in Madagascar, and yes it's because of all this I, as well as some others, have decided to nickname him King Julian like from the Madagascar movies from Dreamworks (who also brought to us horse lovers Spirit!) and also have the song "I like to move it move it" stuck in our heads again, at least it's a great song, at least to me.
So my dad was chosen from the main first list and my mom ordered it off his account as she had to order, well wanted to order, the bonus/optional Vintage Club stablemate set that was released around the same time. Then today while checking my emails for the afternoon I saw I had been chosen from the waiting list which is a first in a while but since I technically already got him I am going to pass and not offer the slot and just let my allotted time expire so it moves on to the next person on the list. Mangoky and the stablemate set should hopefully be arriving in the next few days and can't wait to see them when I go home for Christmas.

That's pretty much all I have for now aside form the rumor is this Friday will be the day the celebration horse for next year will be revealed. So will have to wait and see on that but am excited! With that being said, see y'all in the next one!!
