Newest Exotic Destination Series Horses!! January & February Newsletters!!

 Meet Lisboa!!

The first stop/release for the Exotic Destination series this year is Lisboa! Lisboa, Portugal is the home to the Portuguese School of Equestrian Art. There visitors can watch Lusitanos perform baroque exercises and learn about the rich history of the Lusitano horses in Portugal.

This Lisboa is done on the Amazigh Stallion/Anamar mold is a rich glossy bay coat. I was lucky enough to be chosen for him, so I'm really glad I get tot continue the series and I really love this color on this mold. So for this year is so far off to a good start with the web special lottery models.

Meet San Juan!!

San Juan is an island steeped in the culture of Puerto Rico. It is home to stunning beaches, historic cities, and they have an official horse, the Puerto Rican Paso Fino. It is considered the ultimate pleasure riding horse.

This San Juan is a stunning dappled palomino tobiano on the Paso Fino Stallion/Canion mold and also has "tiger" eyes. This trait is unique to the Puerto Rican Paso Fino, resulting in diluted irises that make the eyes appear yellow, amber, or orange. He is very pretty and I was also selected for him too and am very glad. He is so pretty and would love something this flashy for my collection and I am glad I still get to continue collecting this series. Hoping for the rest of the year goes well with getting the releases for the year.

January Newsletter:

I don't think I've covered the last two newsletter, if I did well here they are again so I know I'm caught up before this month's comes out. January's newsletter covered the new releases for the year, the first of the Breyerfest releases, the coloring contest, an article about Breyer bronze age, and the giveaway which was Bandera in gloss, I already have Bandera form when he was first released so I didn't feel I had to enter for him. Then the sneak peak!!

Looks like an early easter reveal and I theorized the easter plush and it looks like I was correct, I'll go over this year's easter plush in another post.

February newsletter:

February's newsletter covered Breyerfest tickets going on sale, last chance for the first Collector Club exclusive model Lavinia whom I'm surprised there are still models available of as she seemed popular, I already snagged one for myself, an article about volunteering at Breyerfest, celebrating the year of the horse and past Chinese zodiac models, and this month's giveaway is for Yan Wu for this year's Chinese Lunar New Year. I'm getting him later unless my mom already ordered one as she liked him too. Then of course there's the sneak peak!!

I was excited when I saw this and I'm pretty sure it was a sneak peak for San Juan. Now to wait for the March newsletter.

That's all I have for this post, see y'all in the next one!!

Newest Breyerfest Reveals!!

 Meet Hygge!!

Hygge (pronounced as "Hoo-gah" or "Hue-gah") is a concept centered around finding contentment in coziness, connection, and a warm atmosphere. This can come from the simplicity from baking, sitting by the fire, and anything and everything in between. This Hygge is the online exclusive limited edition stablemate for this year's Breyerfest!! He is on the Icelandic stablemate mold and is sporting a red dun tobiano coat.
He is cute and I do kind of like him. I have heard that this year some people, I think it is VIP will be able t access online content an hour or two earlier than everyone else. If that's true, I will take advantage of that I did get the VIP ticket, but I'll go over what entails with it later in a separate post. So I think for now he will be tentative must get for me, we'll see what happens.

Meet Uff Da!!
One of the most well known Scandinavian phrases in the U.S. is "uff da" (more like oof da in pronunciation). The phrase is Norwegian in origin and meant to express dismay, it's also heavily used in the northern midwest, especially Minnesota and most of Wisconsin. As immigrants traveled to the U.S. to the midwest, new england, and pacific northwest, it has evolved to also help express other emotions. It is similar to the Yiddish phrase "oy vey" and the Norwegian "ope" (which is also used a lot in Minnesota and Wisconsin) has also evolved over the decades. "Uff da" also can now mean to express surprise, frustration, astonishment, relief, regret, and more becoming more of a catch all feeling.
This Uff Da is on the new Cantering/Galloping Welsh Cob, aka Llywellyn, mold in a beautiful blue roan tovero coat. He also appears to have blue eyes. I really like him, I think he's really pretty. So I will be getting him this year and if they are available early for those that have access early I will be taking advantage of that to make sure I get him.

Meet Vegvísir!!
The first two variation of the volunteer model were revealed at this year's BreyerWest/Breyer(not so)MidWest. The two variations are an interesting pair and I can't wait to see the third and final variation be revealed at Breyerfest!!
The first variation appears to be a bright and shiny dappled palomino and the second is a dappled buckskin. This year they appear to be going for a cream dilute and now for the third can be anything from a smokey black to a cremello or even a perlino. So far I do like both variations but I am drawn a bit more to the buckskin, hopefully one day I can acquire all variations.

That's all I have for this post, and this seems to mostly be all the major Breyerfest reveals. I think only prize models are left but those are revealed a little later. I know when registering for the competition classes there were some technical difficulties on Breyer's end causing a delay for sign ups so I think that will delay the prize reveals because of that. See y'all in the next one!!

Latest Breyerfest Reveals!!

 Meet Skógafoss!!

Along the Mid Atlantic Ridge are many frequent tectonic activity. Iceland is dotted with high cliffs and deep valleys. With the glacier melts during the summer this creates the perfect environment for waterfalls across the country. Along the Ring Road in the south of Iceland there are many of these Waterfalls, which are fed by the glacier called Eyjafjallajökull. Along this route is the waterfall Skógafoss, it is 197 feet tall and stretches 82 feet in width. While impressive from the ground, visitors can also climb 527 steps up a hill to a platform for a more impressive view from the top of the falls.

This Skógafoss is this year's crystal model. He is an Icelandic stallion that stands at 5", the mold appears to be similar, if not the same as the Porcelain Icelandic Stallion that was released in 1992 as a buckskin pinto, if so it's good to see this mold and others from that era be used again (defiant was another porcelain turned crystal horse that was utilized after sometime). Hopefully we will see more in the future and lead to even more releases. I will be getting him, or rather I should say my mom will as she collects and likes the crystal horses the most.

Meet Dalarna!!

Dalarna is a region in central Sweden, in the 17th century it made a name for itself by making the finest wooden equines, thus the Dala Horse was born. They were carved by woodworkers and loggers as gifts for their children. These bright colored horses became a symbol Sweden and were soon found all over the region in markets. They gained global attention in 1939 at the World's Fair in New York. Sweden then started mass producing the figures. Nusnäs, Sweden continues to mass produce Dala Horses today at the Nils Olsson Dalahästar factory where they still use traditional painting and carving methods.
This Dalarna Dala Horse features the iconic bright red coat with floral designs and tack. This art style is called Kurbits and is specific to Sweden. He is on the Standing Thoroughbred mold and is this year's deco classic scale/freedom series limited edition/store special model! I had a feeling they were going to do a Dala horse this year, I mean how could they not. Though at the start I wasn't sure if it would be the deco classic or maybe a plush or stablemate instead. Either way I am glad they done one for one of the releases anyways. I will be getting him, he will go with my Dala collection as this past Christmas my parents gave me some Dala horse related items as part of my stocking stuffers.

Meet Blóm!!

Flowers are seen n much of the midsummer decor for the celebrations, the maypole being one, and flower crowns could be seen being worn as well. Blóm is this year's plushy and she has her very own flower crown!! She's a very cute little pinto and I will be getting her, I also ordered a flower crown too form the local flower shop Breyer partnered with to make crowns for the occasion, there are/were three variations and are/were limited. I already since ordered the one I liked and my mom ordered one she liked as well.

Meet Best of Breyerfest Series 7!!

Meet Anderstorp!!

Anderstorp is located in Sweden and is known famously as the Formula 1 track. This Anderstorp is on the Hanoverian stablemate mold, he was inspired by Monaco who was the 2008 Open Model Horse Overall Champion prize. Monaco also has Formula 1 fame.

Meet Faroe!!

Faroe is a group of rugged islands in the north Atlantic between Iceland and Norway. This Faroe is on the Mirado mold, he is inspired by Capri the early bird raffle model from Breyerfest 2008.

Meet Stjärna!!

Stjärna is the Swedish word for "star". This Stjärna is on the Kit/Haflinger mold and is a mini of the 2008 Festival of Champions Contest Prize Model, Seren, which also means star in Welsh.

Meet Kattegat!!

Kattegat is the sea that Separates Denmark from southwestern Sweden. This Kattegat is on the Cantering Morgan mold and is inspired by the 2008 Open Model Horse Show Reserve Champion Model Calabria, whom is named after region in the southernmost region of Italy.

Meet Støvel!!

Støvel means "boots" in several Nordic languages. Støvel is on the mini version of the vintage Indian Pony mold and is based on Totsi, which is the Hopi word for moccasins, the 2008 Volunteer model.

This Best of Breyerfest set is all based off models from the 2008 Breyerfest. I do like them all and will get the set, especially to keep the series going as I have all the other releases.

That is all I have for this post for now as I don't want it to get too long since the Best of Breyerfest series took up the most space. See y'all in the next one!!
