Meet Hygge!!
Hygge (pronounced as "Hoo-gah" or "Hue-gah") is a concept centered around finding contentment in coziness, connection, and a warm atmosphere. This can come from the simplicity from baking, sitting by the fire, and anything and everything in between. This Hygge is the online exclusive limited edition stablemate for this year's Breyerfest!! He is on the Icelandic stablemate mold and is sporting a red dun tobiano coat.
He is cute and I do kind of like him. I have heard that this year some people, I think it is VIP will be able t access online content an hour or two earlier than everyone else. If that's true, I will take advantage of that I did get the VIP ticket, but I'll go over what entails with it later in a separate post. So I think for now he will be tentative must get for me, we'll see what happens.
Meet Uff Da!!
One of the most well known Scandinavian phrases in the U.S. is "uff da" (more like oof da in pronunciation). The phrase is Norwegian in origin and meant to express dismay, it's also heavily used in the northern midwest, especially Minnesota and most of Wisconsin. As immigrants traveled to the U.S. to the midwest, new england, and pacific northwest, it has evolved to also help express other emotions. It is similar to the Yiddish phrase "oy vey" and the Norwegian "ope" (which is also used a lot in Minnesota and Wisconsin) has also evolved over the decades. "Uff da" also can now mean to express surprise, frustration, astonishment, relief, regret, and more becoming more of a catch all feeling.
This Uff Da is on the new Cantering/Galloping Welsh Cob, aka Llywellyn, mold in a beautiful blue roan tovero coat. He also appears to have blue eyes. I really like him, I think he's really pretty. So I will be getting him this year and if they are available early for those that have access early I will be taking advantage of that to make sure I get him.
Meet Vegvísir!!
The first two variation of the volunteer model were revealed at this year's BreyerWest/Breyer(not so)MidWest. The two variations are an interesting pair and I can't wait to see the third and final variation be revealed at Breyerfest!!
The first variation appears to be a bright and shiny dappled palomino and the second is a dappled buckskin. This year they appear to be going for a cream dilute and now for the third can be anything from a smokey black to a cremello or even a perlino. So far I do like both variations but I am drawn a bit more to the buckskin, hopefully one day I can acquire all variations.
That's all I have for this post, and this seems to mostly be all the major Breyerfest reveals. I think only prize models are left but those are revealed a little later. I know when registering for the competition classes there were some technical difficulties on Breyer's end causing a delay for sign ups so I think that will delay the prize reveals because of that.
