Breyerfest is over, new theme has been announced, second chance sale has came and went. Tried to snag more surprises from it but I was having technical issues and by the time the site worked properly again they were sold out along with most everything. I only got a t-shirt, the red one I was supposed to get just in case since the warehouse and shipping has been weird and it turned out to be for the best as the red shirt form the sale came before they sent a return label to my mom and got sent back to them so now just need a refund for the original. Also a lot of issues and drama with the Shindig models which I guess was best I didn't want him, some go their's but most others still have yet top receive if now after the second chance and online content has ended. Anyways, here's the rest of end of July releases and reveals.
Meet Salzburg!!
Salzburg is the last Exotic Destination release, especially for the year. It's slightly hinted that the series is over, but next year is full of surprises yet to come. He is done on the vintage Belgian mold and sporting a silver bay leopard coat. He is named for Salzburg, Austria and is inspired by the Noriker bread of the area. The Noriker get their name as the area was formerly part of Rome's province Noricum, the breed was formed by the archbishops of Salzburg and formed there own stud farm in the 1800s. The breed is hearty and can handle the country's alpine regions. The breed usually comes in dark solid coats, but the spotted coat is the most prized.
Salzburg is in a matte finish and there are 600 made of him. I really like him and want to continue the series so I entered for him, sadly neither I nor my parents were selected, not even on a stand by list. So he will be added to the list of models I need to get for this series and others, sadly it seems to keep getting longer and longer. Oh well, thems the brakes I guess.
July Collector Club Newsletter:
The first two articles are about the release of the Surprise horse coat variation run numbers as the other numbers for the other special runs have been revealed before that. then there's the Christmas in July sale. An article about portrait models of Chincoteague ponies over the years, especially the beloved Misty series, and the July Giveaway is the new portrait model of Surfer's Riptide the Chincoteague pony. Last but not least, the sneak peak.
The star with the blue background reminded me of the classic scale deco Tabitha that was for Halloween and is on the Mariah mold. Everyone, as well as me, were hoping and speculating this is something Halloween related. I will say it is and will be covering that in a different post.
Before I forget, the third volunteer/ambassador model was revealed at Breyerfest as promised by Breyer and he is really cool and was waiting to see what they'd do for a third variation.
This coat variation of Salud is described as Black Salpicada Pinto. This is a type of color/marking ticking found in the Mangalarga Marchador which is what Salud represents. So this variation is half solid, half grey dilute looking which makes him a perfect blend of the previous two variations that were revealed. I wish Breyer would do this type of cool things with regular releases or at least slightly more obtainable releases. Maybe one day I could own all three, just maybe.
That is all I have for now, until the next one!! See y'all later!! (info and pictures come form and belong to Breyer)
