January, February, March, & April Newsletters, Valentines & Other Plushies!

 January:

January covers the new lineup of products for their 75th anniversary. It also covers the first of the Breyerfest reveals. Monthly spotlight is about Chris Hess and the 100+ molds he made for Breyer during his tenure. It also covers the first release of the Vintage Club which was Inferno on the traditional scale Black Stallion mold and was released with a copy of The Black Stallions Blood Bay colt form the Black Stallion series by Walter Farley.Which brings us to the giveaway, and speaking of The Black Stallion Series by Walter Farley, this month's giveaway is a copy of The Black Stallion book with the new classic scale version of the Black on the Malik mold. I do want this set eventually but gonna wait and skip this one, don't have room and got to prepare to move, afterwards I'll get it to make room for both book and model amongst my collection. I do have a copy of the book already, but it's older and can't be handled as much anymore. Sneak peak was for Fiona the St. Paddy's day plush, more on her and other plushes later in the post.

February:

February covers behind the scenes concept art as part of a monthly series to go over Breyer's history.

Concept art for Western Horse/Pony:

Concept art for porcelain Icelandic horse by Kathleen Moody:
"Courage" Concept art by Susan Carlton Sifton:
Silver concept art:
Tigerlily & Firestorm concept art:
This month's newsletter also covers Breyerfest guest horses, one of them being Danash's Northern Tempest aka Dani the Breyerfest Celebration Horse for 2021, I will have another post covering all of this year's Breyerfest guest horses, lots of surprises for them this year!! Then it talks about BreyerMidWest (that is not in the midwest) as was three weeks away from when the newsletter was released. There's also an article about the BreyerWest special runs through the years. This month's giveaway was a glossy version of Chardonnay from Breyerfest 2022. I also skipped this one as I have the original matte release from Breyerfest that year. Sneak peak was for Mallorca whom I will cover in another post later.

March:
This article goes over who won the essay contest from last year for mid year releases this year for the 75th anniversary, again those models will be covered in a separate post. It also covers the volunteer model as two of them have been revealed at Breyer(not so)MidWest but this year they seemed to have been renamed to be Breyer Ambassador Models. I'll also put those in another post. Breyerfest tickets also went on sale this month and all but VIP are still available as of me writing this post and releasing it. The next topic it covers is from the vault which is Just About Horses Sept/Oct issue from 2003. The giveaway is for the 85th Anniversary model for AQHA though I also skipped this one to get later. Sneak peek I believe was for the Collector Club classic scale gambler's choice exclusive model Rambler, at least for one of the variations as there is always three, and as you may have guessed he will also be in a separate post.

April:
First topic was about Rambler who was revealed and released around the end of the month. Next one is about Looking Back & moving forward, it covers more about the volunteer/ambassador model and reading it there is at least one interesting thing about him. Then Breyer shares the results of the coloring contest back around December as everyone had been awaiting the results. The feature story is about the small poodle, a vintage non-horse mold that has not made an appearance in years, I don't think it's been used since the first few Breyerfests. This month's Breyerfest is the first three releases of the 75th Anniversary exclusive models (the western horse, lonesome glory, and Esprit). Again I skipped it especially since I already preordered the Esprit and am waiting to get the others. Sneak peek I think was for the Collector Club appreciation event models, and I think the specific one was for Atlanta the Standardbred mare. Also again those model will be covered in another post.

New Plushies:
First is Smooch:
Smooch is this year's February/Valentine's Day plushy. He is white with a brown mane, tail, and hooves and covered in pink "kisses" with a red bowtie that also has kisses. He's kind of cute, but not for me so I skipped him.

Fiona:
Fiona is this year's March/St. Paddy's day plush. She has a white coat with a yellow mane and tail with green hooves with stripes and shamrocks on the underside to match her blanket. She also has little freckles on her face. I kinda like her, but not enough to get her so she's a skip for now, may try to get her later.

Flutter:
This year's April/Easter/Spring plush is Flutter. She's purple with a pink mane and tail with colorful butterflies and flowers and a little pink butterfly hair accessory. This one I had to get and am not disappointed. I think she's the prettiest one this year and is my fav out of all the spring plushies released so far.

Haley & Astro:
Haley & Astro are this year's mother & foal set duo for mother's day this year. They are Purple/pink with a hint of blue galaxy pattern. Haley has a pink and purple mane and tail and her colt Astro has a blue and purple mane and tail. I also got them as this shade of purple is really nice and I think they're cute. Though I feel is was a missed opportunity to name the foal Comet so their names together are named after Halley's Comet, oh well close enough and still space/galaxy themed.

That's it for now until the next one which I hope to have out tomorrow I may make a small post right after this but for the Breyerfest model increase due to the tariffs, but that'll be it. See y'all later!
