Hoofbeats & Maple Treats event has came and went this past weekend, and with that came the reveals of the event exclusive models and in hand pics of them for a better look. Plus a sneak peak at Corgi Hill Flinka in hand especially in box!!
Lets start with the special runs, first we have...
Meet Niagra!!
Niagara is a grey arabian, turning "white", on the well loved vintage Sham mold. He is more than likely named after Niagara falls which is more located, especially where the water actually falls, in Canada but can be seen form New York.I really love him and his coloration and would love if they did more greys like this, especially arabians and thoroughbreds and the like. His coat does give me inspiration for a custom I want as I like the idea of a dark grey going white like that and want one for an OC thoroughbred I made up and want a physical representation of him. Using my extra Phish model for the body as that's what I want. So far this guy is my fav and hope to obtain him one day.
Meet Caesar!!
Caesar appears to be a dunalino, slight small chance a silver bay dun, on the Iberian version of the Brishen/Gypsy Vanner mold. From what I can find, he appears to be named after a mixed drink that has become popular in Canada, especially Western Canada. He also has blue and gold, Breyer's colors, ribbons in his mane. He is my second fav and another I hope to obtain one day.
Meet Pitter Patter!!
Pitter Patter is a black and white appaloosa, I want to say leopard appaloosa, coat on the Forever Saige/Mustang mare mold. Pitter Patter's name, from my research, seems to be inspired by the line "Pitter Patter, let's get 'er goin'" from a show called "Letterkenney" from a character named Wayne to show his impatience. At first I thought it was about the house hippos they have over there, but a popular show also works. I do like her, some have said there is a variation in her mane, she is supposed to have striping but some seem to lack it. I like the stripe version and with her being my third fav I hope to obtain that version some day.
Meet Trillium & Bunchberry!!
Trillium and Bunchberry are a mare and foal set. I believe Trillium is the mare and Bunchberry is foal, and if that's right that means Trillium appears to be a bay pinto while Bunchberry appears to be either a light bay pinto or a buckskin pinto. Trillium is a plant, sometimes referred to as: wood lilly, birthwort, birthroot, tri flower, and wakerobin. It is found in temperate regions of North America and Asia. Bunchberry is Canada's unofficial national flower, it produces red berries that are a snack to bears, chipmunks, birds, voles, and deer. Both are on the vintage Grazing Mare & Foal set, they are cute but I don't know if currently I like them enough to want them eventually one day.Meet Queen City!!
Queen City is a flaxen chestnut pinto on the vintage Shire mold. She is more than likely named after Regina, the capitol city of Saskatchewan. Which was named after Queen Victoria and is home to the Canadian Pacific Railway. She is cute, but not overly my cup and tea and high on my want list.
Meet Poutine!!
Poutine is a bay pinto in a glossy finish on the Nikolas/German Riding Pony mold. He is named after the dish of the same name containing french fries and cheese curds topped in brown gravy. It merged into the Centre-du-Quebec region of Quebec through unknown origin in the 1950s. There are poutine celebrations in Montreal, Quebec, Drummondville, Toronto, Ottawa, New Hampshire, and Chicago. It has been named Canada's national dish, and there are variations of the recipe resulting in dumplings and sandwiches. He is nice, but again he's another one I'm not sure if he makes my most wanted list.

Meet Maple!!
Maple is this year's center piece model and is a handsomely delicious deep rich bay in a glossy coat on the Big Ben mold. Each one also comes with his own unique Halloween costume that are said to have been made by Infinity Breyers!! There's a witch, Dracula/vampire, jack-o-lantern, black widow/spider, and scarecrow inspired ones!! He is one I'd love to have one day but which costume, or should I say witch, costume to have hime come with is hard to decide as they all look great!! The spider one so far the owner has said he literally had to be strip searched by TSA and have his costume placed in a bag for separate travel. I am not sure how many of him have been made yet, will probably be announced in this year's JAH (just About Horses) edition. Also how many of each costume is also a mystery that may or may not be released as well.
In box Flinka!!
In box Flinka!!
So far Flinka and her box look great!! Can't wait to see the rest of the releases and the theming of their packaging! Her's reminds me of Disney's Frozen which gives me some inspo for names as long as Breyer doesn't use them for any of the special runs or coincidentally a guest horse.
Also can't forget the main host/celebration horse and model for the event which is Legacy!!
Also can't forget the main host/celebration horse and model for the event which is Legacy!!
Legacy resides at Ariel Grange's Lothlorian Farm in Ontario which is also home to his Olympic rider Danial Coyle. There was also a tour at Ballycroy Bloodstock which is home to 2016 Breeder's Cup Dirt Mile winner Tamarkuz, which all the Breeder's Cup races also happened this past weekend.
That's all I have for this post, see y'all in the next one!!
