Breyerfest Recap!!

Breyerfest has came and went and here are the things I did and got during those three days. I would've updated live as it was happening, but I was a little busy and it was so hot out I was exhausted by the end of the day, even with napping in the car as my dad drove us around.

Day 1:

This day I was anticipating tons of people trying to get in as not only was it an anniversary year, but it was the company anniversary and a lot was hyped up so instead of waiting for hours inline till the gates opened, I went to meet my folks (my aunt couldn't make it this year) for breakfast at our spot near their hotel in Georgetown, and that was First Watch. We got to the horse park around a half hour to opening and still surprised there was no line to just drive in, past few years back since the pandemic its been an easy drive with finding decent enough spots, before the pandemic there was a line to get in, bad spots, and waiting even longer just to walk into the gates. This year we decided to skip doing NPOD (Ninja Pit of Death), which was ok because it sounded like there wasn't as good of stuff as there usually is and if there was it wasn't that much and got snapped up quick. We instead got through the gates, got some magnets and programs, then checked into the Collector Club tent, actually lucked out and got the last set of bead necklaces they were handing out, they are blue and gold for Breyer colors which is funny because I brought and wore some different ones of those colors I got at Mardi Gras on campus at an even a few years back, so I had extra beads and used them to decorate my backpack. Quick picked up my VIP stuff, looked at a few vendors outside and got two surprise models from Breyerfest 2023, and then quick went into the covered arena to go to the Cloud booth and got tone the bundles that included the new Cloud model, three new books, a poster, a calendar, stickers, magnet, and a water bottle .hen we had to leave as my parents had to finalize buying the property they now have and will be developing over the next few years or so, so they can retire here. Then we had an early dinner then went back as we do the evening show on Fridays.

Day 2:
Again another day started off with First Watch then headed to the horse park. My mom and I went to get our special runs went to the horse park gift shop, and go through the Breyerfest store which there was only one store there this year vs one to two smaller locations, also it was slightly expanded in the covered arena and that might be why. Looked around at the vendors again, waited for Ginger Kathrens to come back so she could sign our Cloud model and calendars. The mostly hung out in the Collector Club tent waiting for my dad to comeback form working on my car as he wanted to make sure the oil was changed and re[place the brakes as they were at least as old as my car, which is 11. Took a 20 minute nap in the tent due to the heat and had a little chicken bowl from Acme Chicken which I wanted to try last year. After that we quick got dinner and then went to the Clarion. Got one peter stone and my mom got a couple of Trail of Painted Ponies, an done other model I forget now. I was very picky this year in buying. I mainly ended up going online and getting stuff from Triple Mountain which will be revealed alter because one item in the order was a preorder and everything will be shipped out once she gets the preorder item.

Day 3:
Actually didn't got to the horse park this day at all. Didn't even enter for the raffles. I wanted the Amazigh but I never get lucky no matter how many tickets I buy an dit gets to be a lot of money at the end of it. So me and my folks went to breakfast at First Watch again and then drove around. Went to and drove through the Lexington Cemetery to see the Henry Clay mausoleum, didn't get put just drove around it and looked at all the other graves, many were old but visually pleasing. One had an engraved picture of Secretariat, I want to go back and find plus walk around where Henry Clay is buried, went around the Secretariat round a bout, drove around Lawrenceburg, Danville, and Harrodsburg, went to the Elizabethtown Mall which is actually under renovations and has changed since I went to it a couple of years ago. Went to Joseph Beth and then had dinner. We also spent Monday and Tuesday together and was nice to have a break from work and get more sleep and spend time with my family.

Then Breyerfest was over and next year's theme was revealed.
A predictions and expectations post will come later after I finish making my predictions and doing more research on Midsommar as the only things I know are form when Start Stable (SSO) used to have a midsommar event which used to be around Breyerfest time. That's all I have for now, see y'all later!!

New Test Model Available to Club Members, New Live Auction Sneak Reveals, Raffle Model Reveals, New Surprise Speculations!!!

This test model is the Show Jumping Warmblood (SJW) in a flea-bitten grey coat in the loose mane and tail version. This mold debuted in 2005, sculpted by Susan Carlton Sifton, and has been popular ever since. It is believed this model was painted in the early 2000s, most likely around the mold's debuted. Based off his coloration and nose marking I believe he was a test for Cedric, whom was one of the first few portraits on this mold. I believe he was tested in both loose and braided mane version and the owners chose which they liked best, the braided was the official release. If not I slightly he could've been a been a test for Milton who was released around the same time as Cedric, but Cedric seems most likely. Many online thought this was a test for this year's celebration horse, but based off the info given on this model by Breyer, which I'm sure they keep fairly good records on models tested for production, and the fact his markings/coloration and shading don't match Phish's, I don't think that was the case. He is lovely, but as always OOAKs and tests are out of my price range, especially when made available around Breyerfest time.

More auction models have been revealed, these weren't on the blog, but spotted when many went it the online site Breyer uses for online bids which is "Bidspirit".
The Western Horse makes an appearance in the lineup as the first lot. He is in a beautiful dark grey coat with four socks, his take appears to be black with gold trim. A nice model to start off the auction and bidding with, wish I was able to get him as I've been on a dark grey kick lately.
Rugged Lark makes an appearance, the first in 2008, 2014 if you count the warehouse find that was Patch from 2008. I once tentatively thought of him for the surprise, but then nixed that idea based off him being a vintage mold. Nice to see him again but I hope he gets another as he has become very underutilized and doesn't have many releases, especially in large quantities, since his debut in 1989. This one is a gorgeous black pintaloosa, and I am a sucker for pintaloosas as they are rare, especially in the model horse world.

Before making an appearance on Bidspirit, this one seemed to have been accidentally emailed to people, my guess was meant to be sent to Bidpsirit to be posted but a wrong button was pressed somewhere. A lot of people wanted Proud Arabian Mare (PAM) to be the surprise as she isn't used a lot due to copyright, and her last appearance for Breyerfest was 2018 as Sierra Rose. She'd be nice to have a release like that, but I think the mold is too vintage anyway to be utilized. Hopefully she has another Breyerfest special run or store special release in the future aside from club releases. This one comes with a foal on the Proud Arabian Foal (PAF) mold. Mare is a chestnut pinto with the foal appearing to be a dun/buckskin pinto. Unfortunately these still aren't posted on Bidspirit, my guess they won't be until tomorrow aside from what is already been seen in person.

Raffle models revealed!!
Saturday raffle is:
Meet Cheers!!!

Cheers is on the Lady Phase mold in a silver blanket appaloosa coat with two hind socks, and the swish tail version of the mold. She was first revealed in the online program, but there she is in a matte finish, and when added to the live auction lineup (as one of each raffle is always auctioned off) she was seen sporting a glossy coat. I tis believed that Breyer made the decision to make the auction models glossy to make them more special from the ones raffles off. That is a nice change as make the auction ones a bit more special as 25-26 are made of each raffle model.

Sunday raffle is:
Meet B'saha!!!
B'saha means "to your health" or "enjoy" in the Arabic dialect of Morocco. He is on the Amazigh Stallion mold in a gorgeous black sabino-tobiano coat!! Like Lady Phase, this version will sport a high glossy finish while the ones to be raffled off will be matte. That means this guy is off the surprise guess list, that slightly helps narrow it down.

June Newsletter, More Live Auction Reveals, Breyerfest Raffle Reveals, Breyerfest Program!!!

 June newsletter is here!!

It covers Hoofbeats & Maple Treats event, double check the Breyerfest blog for the latest info on Breyerfest this year, featured story covers "Intro to Drastic Customizing", the Breyerfest program for this year is available!! There will be a National Fun Day for this year's 75th Jubilee on October the 18th, a Saturday, and this months giveaway is Lexington/Big Lex the blue deco and I already have him so I will also skip this one. Then lastly the sneak peak!!

An appaloosa, most likely chestnut base. It's really zoomed in so no muscle definition to know which part of the body it is. Could be related to the live auction reveals or could be something else we will see later. Could even be one of the raffle models. Could be a model that's revealed in the collector club tent at Breyerfest, but will have to wait and see. All I know is I can't tell which scale model it is.

Next are the final live auction reveals leading up to Breyerfest!!
Meet Lot #16!!
This one is done on the Marabella mold in a chestnut appaloosa coat. She look similar to the sneak peak form the newsletter, but I don't think it's her, to me she doesn't quite fully match unless its form hr other side not shown in the picture here. She is cute but I think this takes her out of the running for the surprise horse this year.

Meet Lot #18!!
This handsome devil is on the very popular Hamilton/Racking American Saddlebred in a rich sun-faded black homozygous tobiano coat. At least I don't have to worry about this guy on my surprise list as he was already the surprise for Breyerfest 2023.

Meet Lot #19!!
This gorgeous boy is the Huckleberry Bey mold in a very cool glossy metallic color-shift and holographic tobiano named "Bold Illusion". He is so cool!! Though sadly I believe this takes him out of the running of the surprise horse, shame, he would've been a cool one. Maybe one year he'll be it but looks like this year is not the year.

Meet Lot #20!!
This is the Vanner Mare & Foal set. The mare is in a blue roan coat while her foal is in a bay coat. The mare is really pretty, Breyer has been killing it with the blue roans lately. I wasn't too worried about her being the surprise this year, especially since she had her first Breyerfest release/debut last year as the mare & foal set so I think I'm safe from these.

Meet Lot #22!!!!!
Alborozo has made yet another live auction appearance!! This time as a pegasus, which he has been a few times before in the past, this time he dons a Sacred Kingfisher inspired metallic blue, gold, and pearly white overo coat. He is stunning!! Curse you Breyer for breaking the mold in which was most likely a marketing scheme with rumored contact between artist and/or owner of the horse!!!!!!!! We could've had some amazing things but you tease us with this carrot dangling in front of our nose and only one can have him!!! Hoping they make a similar model with this color way in the future.

Raffle models are here!! Let's meet them!!
With the release of the electronic version of the program, there were some reveals in it, especially these guys!! Saturday's raffle is "Cheers" on the swish tail version of the Lady Phase mold, didn't think she'd be the surprise anyway as she was used for Breyerfest 2023. Then Sunday is "B'saha", I don't know what language taht is but I'm assuming it of course relates to "cheers" and/or "good health/fortune/congrats" if I had to guess maybe Indian/Hindi but I could be totally off I'll have to research, but he is the Anamar/Amazigh Stallion and sadly I this means he is not the surprise.  I don't think Cheers is the sneak peak from earlier, doesn't seem to fit, the Marabella fits more than she does.

Here is the link for the program for anyone who wants to view it: https://online.fliphtml5.com/sgoqo/wcoa/#p=1
That's all I have for this post. Until the next one, see y'all later!!!! (info and pictures come from and belong to Breyer and/or original owner)
